Donald Edward Boultbee (1928 - 1992)
(written by the Editors)

He was born September 14, 1928 in Elmhurst, Illinois, and was the son of John Henry Boultbee and Beatrice Woodhouse.  He attended Schurz High School in Chicago, and went on to the University of Illinois, from which he graduated as an engineer specializing in ceramics.
On June 14, 1952, he married Nancy Elizabeth Meredith of Toronto, the daughter of Gordon and McAuley.  Donald & Nancy had a daughter Nancy Jan, and two sons, Meredith Reid, and Calvin Wayne.  The family lived in Frankfort, Indiana.
At Frankfort, Donald worked at Ingram Richardson, a porcelain and enamelling plant, for more than 20 years, and subsequently transferred to the Frankfort Wastewater Treatment Plant, where he was Superintendent.  He was involved in several projects at the Plant, including the dechlorination of the waste water, the separation of storm water from the regular sewage, and the application of the waste sludge to the soil.
He was an avid bicyclist, and could be seen every day travelling to work on his bicycle.  In his youth he joined the Boy Scouts, and from ages 37 to 44 served as a Scout Leader.  He was a member of the local School Board for three years beginning in 1972.  Donald served as an Elder in the First Presbyterian Church in Frankfort.

Donald Edward Boultbee died of cancer on January 7, 1992, and was buried in Green Lawn Memorial Park, Frankfort.
